Willow Van Skyhawk was born and raised in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Willow attended University of Tennessee – Knoxville, where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Upon completing her undergraduate program, Ms. Van Skyhawk attended Lincoln Memorial University, Duncan School of Law, in which she graduated magna cum laude in 2024. During law school, Ms. Van Skyhawk was the recipient of multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. She also became a published legal writer, when her law review article, Lethal Injections: Protocol Plagued with Secrecy and Flaws Ushering in the New Era of Botched Executions, was published in 2023.
Ms. Van Skyhawk joined the Garza Law Firm in the summer of 2024. At Garza Law, Ms. Van Skyhawk has worked on a wide variety of criminal cases and hopes to continue her legal career concentrating in the area of criminal defense.
In her free time, Willow enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, playing with her dog Leia, and travelling to new places with her husband.
