What happens if I plead guilty to a DUI?

What happens if I plead guilty to a DUI? If you plead guilty to a DUI, undoubtedly, you’re going to be found guilty of a DUI. The reason that’s important is, people will often and come to me after the fact and say, “You know, I pled guilty to a DUI. I, really, should have looked into it more. It’s causing me problems with my current career goals, with my current –” Whatever it might be that’s important to you. You can’t go back and investigate a DUI case after the fact. My recommendation is, hire somebody before you plead guilty to a DUI before you get to court and are forced to make a hard decision.

Because until you investigate a DUI, you don’t know how winnable your case is.

Many DUI cases that otherwise seem very difficult, or have caused the person who’s charged with the crime to feel like there’s no hope, turn out to be completely defendable cases. My advice is, seek legal representation as soon as possible before you consider pleading guilty to DUI.
