WE HEARD YOU. LOUD AND CLEAR. 😅

Last year, “Finish on the Field” was… a little more aspirational than we intended.

The finish got bottlenecked; no one could cross the finish line. And, minor detail, you weren’t actually allowed on the grass. 😂

So for 2026, we fixed it. We’re moving to Covenant Health Park, and this time:

🏃 The finish flows. A huge entrance means no tiny pinch point holding up runners at the finish.
đŸŒ± You get the actual field. Not next to it, not around it.  The grass. The whole beautiful thing.
🎉 There’s room to celebrate. Finish your 5K, enjoy the field, find your people and enjoy the moment (instead of standing in a traffic jam).

And because we know some of you are thinking, “Uh huh. Sure. The field.”

We went out there ourselves to verify. ***Photo above is actual photo from our planning meeting. Actual grass. Actual humans sitting on it. We checked.

Runners and walkers of all levels are invited to take part in this unique race, starting in downtown Knoxville and winding through the city before finishing inside Covenant Health Park – an unforgettable photo finish you don’t want to miss!

More than just a race, the event is dedicated to giving back. Proceeds from “Finish on the Field” will benefit The Dream Connection, a local nonprofit operated entirely by volunteers. The Dream Connection makes dreams come true for children facing life-threatening or chronically debilitating illnesses, bringing hope, joy, and unforgettable experiences to families across East Tennessee.

“This race is about more than crossing a finish line,” said Lauren Stansbury, Advisory Board Member and parent of a Dream Child. “It’s about bringing our community together to help make dreams come true for deserving children. The energy on race day, combined with finishing inside Neyland Stadium, makes this event really special.”

  • Distance: 5K and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run
